DARREN FINISHES CAREER BEST 2nd

Darren finished a career best second in an exciting race at Watkins Glen on July 6th.
Always running strongly in the top ten, the A J Foyt team made an excellent call for Darren to pit shortly before a full course yellow came out. When all the other drivers had to pit Darren was in the lead....
The first attempted restart had to be aborted when AJ Foyt IV and Milka Duno came together, and the next when Scott Dixon spun and was collected by Ryan Briscoe.
When racing finally recommenced Darren was overtaken into the first corner by Ryan Hunter-Reay and could never quite make it back past him despite and exciting attempt at the chicane round the outside. Darren recorded his fastest lap of the race on lap 59 but couldn't get the win, but pulled away from 3rd. place Tony Kanaan.
It was a great day, and the promise of better to come as the AJ Foyt team and Darren keep improving the car, that first win can't be too far away!
