Darren and Target Team Part Ways
Target Chip Ganassi announced yesterday (26/07/05) that the team and driver Darren Manning will part ways, effective immediately. The decision was made amicably after much deliberation by both parties and it was felt it would be in Darren’s best interests to move forward with his racing career.

With on track temperatures reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit combined with high humidity, Target Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Scott Dixon and Darren Manning had to contend with extremely slick conditions on the track, and a hefty challenge behind the wheel of their Target Toyotas from their 18th and 21st starting positions.
